Hanford Laboratory and Management Integration, LLC (HLMI) is recruiting for a Analytical Maintenance Specialist in Richland, WA.

This position will support Hanford Laboratory Management and Integration, LLC (HLMI). HLMI is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The HLMI members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Job Description :

HLMI seeks an Analytical Maintenance Specialist who will be responsible for directly interfacing with service providers, equipment subject matter experts, and the extended maintenance organization in the support of vendor-performed troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and removal of laboratory analytical equipment.


Responsibilities :

The Analytical Maintenance Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures records of vendor activities are generated and properly recorded.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas of specialization.

  • Assist subject matter experts in the troubleshooting or resolution of analytical equipment issues as directed by management.

  • Initiate and track work packages in support of vendor activities.

  • Initiate service calls with contracted vendor support as directed by management.

  • Review planned vendor activities and provided written description of task activities to planning and craft organizations as needed.

  • Interface with field work supervisors and service providers to ensure clear communications between the service provider and craft support.

  • Interface with Engineering, Planning, and equipment owners to ensure the appropriate PMs are performed at the appropriate frequency .

  • Support material requisition for vendor activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemistry or related field.

  • Five (5) to Six (6) years of practical work experience in maintenance, troubleshooting or repair of electronic/electrical systems or related areas or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

  • Associate Degree (AA) in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering (Or Equivalent Military education i.e., US Navy FC “A” or ET ‘A” School) within a minimum of 10 years direct experience at component level troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic devices.


Preferred Qualifications :

  • Current or previous experience working in a radiological contamination area is highly desirable.

  • Operation and Maintenance of the following systems or similar: Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), Ion chromatography (IC), Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), Autosamplers, High Purity Germanium ( HPGe ) Radiation Detectors, (AEA) Alpha Spectroscopy, (LSC) Liquid Scintillation Counter.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 16: $83,950 - $105,750

Grade 17: $$92,238 - $116,213
