Position Summary

The Alliances & Airline Partnerships team is responsible for defining and executing Hawaiian’s long and short term strategic plans for airline partnerships. The team acts as the primary contact for our airline partners and manages the essential agreements and infrastructure to exchange traffic back and forth. We are looking for an individual with a strong aptitude for quantitative modeling, comfort with complex data, and an ability to combine big-picture thinking with attention to detail.

This role is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and is currently a hybrid opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the airline landscape and current partnership portfolio. Provide strategic recommendation for new partners and/or changes to existing partnerships
  • Implement new airline alliance and interline agreements
  • Manage on-going maintenance of existing airline partnerships
  • Leverage data from multiple groups (Revenue Management, IT, Sales and Revenue Analytics, Airport Operations, Reservations, etc.) to create reports on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for internal presentation on the performance of codeshare and interline partnerships
  • Drive insightful data analysis of our current partners focused on value added revenue/ volume rather than just absolute numbers. Develop associated reporting to measure
  • Evaluate partner route networks and connectivity to provide new recommendations for codeshare markets and flights
  • Monitor partnership operational performance and customer complaints. Troubleshoot reoccurring issues
  • Develop a full understanding of the PNR and customer lifecycle from booking to ticketing to post departure settlement
  • Collaborate with teams throughout the company (Network, Scheduling, Revenue Management, IT, Loyalty, Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Reservations, and Airport Operations)
  • Support Hawaiian’s PSS migration from Sabre to Amadeus
  • Play an active role as a point-of-contact at Hawaiian Airlines for external airline partners and for internal groups that manage and interact with airline partners.
  • Other duties as assigned or directed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative / analytical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience in writing SQL queries
  • Capable of developing high quality, professional PowerPoint presentations
  • Superior analytical and communication skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively across job levels and departments
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Advanced aptitude in problem-solving, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple projects in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to complete day-to-day work with little to no instruction and conduct own quality and sanity checks on data and results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau or other similar software
  • Master’s Degree in a quantitative / analytical discipline or 4 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Previous airline experience
  • Understanding of fundamental airline concepts
  • Airline reservations or global distribution system knowledge
