The Service Collaborative (TSC) VISTA Program mobilizes AmeriCorps VISTA members to function in organizations, government agencies and educational institutions. Members focus on expanding educational opportunities, ensuring economic opportunity for all and creating healthy futures for the residents of low-income communities. Our goals are to strengthen communities across the state and to allow organizations within them to better provide services to impoverished individuals and families. The Service Collaborative VISTA program has partner organizations in New York State and across the country. During their term of service members, will receive support from our VISTA team at The Service Collaborative of WNY. Our support includes monthly trainings, a social network of fellow members and daily support from VISTA Leaders.

Member Duties: The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) provides quality, affordable housing as a platform to develop people, property, and community. The Digital Inclusion Specialist VISTA’s goal is to oversee and orchestrate AMHA's work around digital inclusion which will include planning and continuous quality improvement of the work around expanding access to affordable internet and devices and assure that those who have these items know how to use them. The VISTA will create, distribute, and collect surveys, create documents to assist with the digital literacy of AMHA residents, and assist with distribution events. The VISTA will also increase resident digital literacy and financial literacy through collaboration with partners to expand digital and financial literacy programs.

• $675.08 bi-weekly stipend
