Wendel is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer interested in Clean Energy/ Alternative Fuel Vehicles, to add to our growing Engineering team in our Williamsville, NY headquarters. Wendel is growing its presence in NYS, and we are seeking a hardworking Engineer that has a passion for Renewable Energy.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and research all required regulations and codes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Evaluate market conditions and opportunities.
• Design alternative fuel dispensing stations and maintenance facilities.
• Understanding industry standards and regulations for compressed natural gas (CNG), electric, and hydrogen powered vehicles.
• Perform technical research and application of finding to existing on-site conditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 - 5 years of Engineering experience.
• Willingness to grow specialized knowledge and become a subject matter expert on CNG, Electric, and Hydrogen fuel projects.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to interpret regulations and code requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and effectively.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus.
