Vale Group has partnered with a prestigious private aircraft company based in Indianapolis, IN to hire an Upholstery Technician for a permanent, full-time opportunity.
This is an ON-SITE role. Candidates must be able and willing to commute to Indianapolis, IN.

The role of the Upholstery Technician is to design, fabricate, and sew high quality seats, panels, carpets, and trim for the completion of high-end corporate aircraft.
Upholstery Technician Essential Duties:
- Interpret engineering designs and specs to fabricate interiors in accordance with customer specifications
- Cut, sew, and glue seats, covers, curtains and miscellaneous trims utilizing fabrics, foams, adhesives, hand tools, and industrial sewing machines.
- Work in compliance with company safety guidelines and FAA requirements
- Ensuring timely completion of projects in accordance with customer requests
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with industrial or commercial sewing, ideally within the aviation industry. Other relevant commercial sewing experience is welcome
- Operational knowledge of industrial sewing tools and techniques, including troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read, understand, and design sewing patterns
- Ability to cope with physical demands of working in an aircraft hangar environment which may include exposure to noise and/or temperature fluctuations.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in a private aircraft completions environment
