Overview:

Summary:

  • The Assistant General Manager works under the direction of the General Manager in the management and optimization of overall resort operations. The Assistant General Manager will be a leader and assist all departments including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, pro shop, convenience store, and food and beverage.

Essential Functions:

  • Be engaged with all resort departments daily providing leadership and assistance to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting high expectations for professionalism, hospitality and positive guest interactions.
  • Supervise and direct various guest service departments focused on guest operations.
  • Supervise and direct housekeeping and cabin rental operation and ensure high quality outcomes and guest experience.
  • Quickly respond to and resolve guest complaints and incidents and complete all required reporting documentation.
  • Lead and participate in resort functions throughout the year including manager on-duty shifts and respond to any afterhours needs by staff or guests.
  • Develop and ensure profitable retail and food and beverage operation including reviewing monthly P & L statements, placing orders, tracking inventory and merchandising.
  • Understand and enforce all resort rules, policies and procedures.

Experience/Competencies

  • Must possess professional demeanor with the ability to resolve guest complaints and staff issues in a positive manner.
  • Must possess flexible leadership style to accept, manage and execute changes in daily routine with competing priorities.
  • Must possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, email, tee sheet programs and property management software.
  • Ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while completing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Hotel experience required; front desk experience preferred.

Position Type & Expected Hours

  • Salaried, full-time, year-round
  • In season: 6 days per week (Approximately 45 to 60 hours per week), Off-season: 5 days per week (Approximately 40 to 45 hours per week)

Salary & Benefits

  • Pay $45,000 to $65,000 per year based on experience
  • 401K program and insurance available
