THE POSITION

If you are a compassionate, caring professional interested in helping to ensure the care and well-being of older adults, the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging is interested in talking to you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An employee in this position provides basic information regarding community resources, policy and procedures to consumers and assists with preparation of simple forms. Assists with making referrals for additional services. Monitors in-home status of consumers via phone contacts and home visits. Advocates for the consumer population at every opportunity in day-to-day performance of job duties.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of public contact work, which involved obtaining or providing information; or
  • Any equivalent of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Westmoreland, Allegheny, Armstrong, Cambria, Fayette, Somerset, Indiana, Washington counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
