Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Revenue.

This position will be responsible for completing classification analyses, mostly reclassifications, and reallocations of vacant positions. Work requires access to HR systems in order to research organizational structure and comparable positions, using analytical skills, and writing analyst notes. The position is fully remote. The schedule is flexible as this work can be done at any time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

  • Working to considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management. Knowledge of the interpretation and application of federal laws and State HR laws, policies and practices governing HR.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within the delegated level of authority.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
