Science Explorers is seeking energetic, positive people to be part-time STEM instructors for our after-school science clubs. This is a wonderful opportunity for any person who enjoys working with children or is looking to gain classroom experience. Our club program is developed for elementary-aged children with a focus towards hands-on STEM learning and fun.
You don’t have to be an expert in the field of science to teach our clubs! The curriculum, supplies and training are provided. Previous experience teaching or working with children preferred. Does not have to be in a school setting.
We have club running at The Philadelphia School on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30PM. This will be a 14-week program running through Mid May. You will need to arrive 20 minutes early and there is also some cleanup after the club is over. Upon hire, all new Instructors will be required to complete online training before their start date.
- Pay rate is $45-50 per club session (this includes prep time and clean up time) depending on the number of children in each club topic
- Instructors are able to receive reimbursement for up-to 2 students registrations for each topic instructed!
- This is a part-time/contract position.
- You MUST be available during afternoon hours
- Some teaching/instructing/tutoring experience is preferred, but we invite all those who enjoy working with children to apply.
- Up-to-date clearances/background checks are required**
