Job description
As a Y After School Aide, you will participate in facilitating activities for school-aged children that foster overall character building. You will assist in keeping the health and welfare of all children in mind at all times. As an Aide, you’ll contribute to the Y movement by providing enrichment activities to youth and peace of mind to their parents and guardians by knowing their children are safe while they are at work.
This work is right for you if you have:
- An interest in the well-being of school age children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment and a good spirit
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, school administration and other Y associates
- The ability to be flexible and work at multiple locations (optional)
- Reached the age of 17
After School takes place at 9 of the Elementary Schools in Oconee County. Aides report to a school for work. (Blue Ridge Elementary, Northside Elementary, Fair-Oak Elementary, James M. Brown Elementary, Keowee Elementary, Orchard Park Elementary, Ravenel Elementary, Walhalla Elementary, Westminster Elementary)
