The Role
This position is an entry level engineering role structured for the individual who is looking to start and grow and engineering career through on-the-job training. Candidates for this role are trained in basic engineering software and manufacturing processes. Over time, those skills can be developed to allow for growth into more complex and rewarding roles.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Use basic engineering software to view and edit manufacturing work instructions
  • Use custom macros and other programs to reduce and reformat engineering data
  • Work with experienced engineers to learn and further develop processes and plans
  • Work within the team to provide inputs for scheduling, planning, and budget management as required
  • Attend daily and weekly status meetings to update and ensure progress against project objectives

Qualifications

  • AS or BS in a technical field, engineering is a plus
  • 0-3 years minimum of relevant experience
  • Quality Engineering/Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Experience working with data and spreadsheets highly desired
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience and/or interest in Aerospace products or related products valued
  • Displays strong analytical skills including data query writing and development
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet aggressive deadlines while achieving excellent business results
  • Exhibits successful ability with indirect leadership of diverse teams deploying complex processes.
  • Shows very strong written and oral communication skills to all stakeholders.
  • Established ability to manage multiple complex projects at once.
  • Experience working in multicultural environments and with others of diverse backgrounds preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Possible Shop Floor Environments with more than half the day spent standing/walking. Potential office environment as well
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 8 AM to 3 PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Pay: $22.00 - $31.00 per hour

Schedule:
