Weeklys, publishers of the market-leading Good Times, seeks a dynamic, self-motivated full-time advertising representative for its Watsonville office. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of selling print and digital media advertising to retail clients, has strong written and oral communication skills, is highly organized and is passionate about marketing and customer service. A good attitude and patience in building and maintaining a clientele is crucial. Those with experience selling other products and services to local businesses may apply.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties include:


Outside sales presentations and face-to-face consultations with key decision makers


Ability to work with local clients to learn objectives and opportunities


Prospecting local markets to continuously fill sales pipeline and open new accounts


Fearless cold-calling and lead generation


Sale of print and digital marketing solutions including Good Times, web advertising, email advertising and SEO


Oversight of client campaigns and regular communication of performance results


Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals


Maintaining client data base, account information, scheduling of appointments, prospecting calls


Work with an experienced and vibrant group of media professionals


Requirements:


B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience.


One to four years in inside sales, sales development and lead qualification in a B2B environment.


Experience communicating and interacting with senior management.


Demonstrated track record at maintaining a consistent activity/conversation volume and achieving measurable goals, quota and quantifiable results.


Strong attention to detail and organization.


Web savviness with a high degree of proficiency using standard business productivity tools (email, vmail, MS Office Suite, Mac).


Self-motivated, energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.


Excellent phone skills and persona.


Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity.


Excellent time management skills and high degree of organization a must.


Prefer experience in online and/or local weekly newspapers sales.


Prefer prior sales experience with local/national advertising contacts.
