Job Summary

River Riders Inc, is hiring full and part time adventure guides for the season! We are located in Harpers Ferry, WV and offer opportunities where you can spend your time soaring through the sky and over the river on our new zipline, or climbing through the trees and reaching new heights in the Adventure Park. You will share local history and various forms of wildlife with guests. Everyday is different here at River Riders and we are fortunate to share it with people from all over the world and in all walks of life! The primary role of Guides is to provide all guests with a safe, remarkable experience be it on the zipline or at the adventure park. Being a guide at River Riders you will gain invaluable knowledge that you might not otherwise have learned, build new friendships, gain confidence, meet people from all over the world, and times you will always remember.

This includes:

• Pre/post trip preparation and clean up

• Interacting with the guests throughout their trip

• Learning and navigating the zipline, and adventure park courses.

• Guides will learn to be proficient in climbing, repelling, rope work, communication, safety and rescue techniques.
• Guides will learn local history and lore.

• It is essential that guides in this position are personable, entertaining, and have an in-depth understanding of all equipment, Zipline/ Adventure Park routes and other trip offerings, as well as the procedures and processes of each trip.

All Guides are expected to contribute to the quality of the experience for guests and aim to create repeating relationships with them. All guides must be able to lift 50 lbs over their head.

All gear and training is provided.

Supervisor and scheduling: Report to Trip Leader and Guide Manager

Qualifications: friendly, professional, timely, physically able to perform duties, ability to comfortably work at height, completion of guide training course, current Professional Rescuer CPR and First Aid (offered in house).

No experience is necessary for this position. We will teach successful applicants the skills necessary to be a Zipline/Adventure Park guide during an intensive weeklong program prior to you beginning to guide. Upon successful completion, you will receive a position license ( zip, adventure park) and be hired as a guide.

The positions are full and part-time seasonal. The season runs through the end of October.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay: $12.50 - $16.25 per hour
