If so, JCC Greater Boston has a unique, impactful part-time opportunity for you. The Adult Engagement Program Manager will lead an initiative to build and realize a vision for expanding adult engagement programs to meet today’s needs and future opportunities. This is a 20 hour/week, primarily remote, position with in-person time required for meetings and program implementation. It is part of the Family Engagement and Jewish Life Department at JCC Greater Boston. The salary range for this position is $27-$29/hour. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the number of hours scheduled, scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with JCC leadership, Health and Wellness staff, Marketing and external funders to establish the Adult Engagement vision.
  • Interact with other programming departments to identify needs, leverage resources, and create a work plan that reflects community needs and input from various stakeholders. Programs will include both virtual and in person offerings.
  • Create an environment which is welcoming to diverse populations including those who are differently abled.
  • Create partnerships with local and national Jewish and secular organizations to expand and leverage programming opportunities for JCC members and guests including exposing our community to high profile national presenters.
  • Produce and manage the Hot Buttons, Cool Conversation series of events from design to implementation, including but not limited to:
  • design compelling programs that reflect contemporary issues
  • create a strategic marketing plan
  • handle all programmatic elements including registration, contracting with presenters/performers; forging partnerships when relevant; making travel and hotel arrangements for on-site programs
  • Coordinate and expand on-site adult art classes. Create distinctive arts and cultural programs for adults.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create a digital presence and email and social media strategy
  • Work with senior leadership to grow and nurture donors for programs that support mind, body and spirit opportunities for adults
  • Manage the South Area Senior Adult staff person and program
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with JCC Greater Boston processes for program registration, database and website management
  • Support JCC Greater Boston mission, vision and values and represent the JCC professional internally and externally. Attend JCCGB all staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Creative thinker - able to synthesize concepts, ideas, and opinions from various sources to design a cohesive and impactful program experience
  • Exceptionally strong project management skills, including ability to move from concepts/initial ideas to implementation and through evaluation
  • Superb time management and organizational skills including ability to manage to deadlines and high-quality standards; able to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with a range of stakeholders including lay leaders, JCC colleagues, experts in a variety of fields, professionals at local and national organizations. Able to manage situations effectively and diplomatically.
  • Experience with needs assessment and research to seek out compelling topics, programs and presenters
  • Able to take initiative, working well both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to build positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Available to staff weeknight and occasional weekend programs when on-site programming resumes
