Job description
The Assistant Diretor of Nursing position is to assist the Director of Nursing in directing and supervising the day-to-day activities of the facility in accordance with local, state and federal guidlines and regulations. This position is charged with the responsibility to ensure that consistent quality care is delivered to the residents.
Qualifications
- A current and valid license is maintained in the applicable state.
- Minimun of one year charge nurse and/or supervisory experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, assist in the directing and coordinating the day-to-day functions of the nusting care to residents in accordance with state and federal rules, regulations and standard nursing practices.
- Assist in assuring the provisions of treatments, medications and nursing services according to a resident's care plan and physician directed orders.
- Participates in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility quality assurance program.
- Conduct rounds on a daily basis to ensure that all nursing service personnal are proforming their essential functions in accordance with Festus Manor policies and state/federal guidlines.
