Position Overview

This position requires a thorough understanding of the agency's philosophy of treatment, admission process and criteria and basic knowledge of substance abuse disorder. As a receptionist, you'll play an integral role in our clients' experience, serving as their first point of contact. You must be friendly and outgoing, with a genuine desire to help people. Attention to detail and professionalism are also key aspects of this position.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Obtains pertinent information from new clients by asking them to complete surveys or interviews courteously and professionally.
  • Assist new client with referrals through case management.
  • Answers and screens inquiry calls and emails from prospective clients.
  • Ensures that all admission forms are properly signed and filed.
  • Respects client or patient dignity and confidentiality.
  • Always adhere to the facility dress code and appear professional.
  • Excellent customer service skills; Professional demeanor and networking skills.
  • Maintains schedule of appointments
  • Maintains effective and efficient systems for customer follow-up and contact with those that miss appointments.
  • Reaching out the referral sources when there are available beds in the facility
  • Ordering and stocking office supplies and making purchases as necessary.
  • Coordinate Transporation for client drop offs and pick ups
  • Maintain tidiness in the lobby and breakroom
  • Process intake as needed from time to time
  • Other duties as assigned.

Require Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to use standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, copiers, fax machines and others.
  • Displays the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely and convey points clearly.
  • Shows proficiency with computer programs which may include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and the ability to calm patients or clients who may be distraught.
  • Shows the ability to calm frustrated clients quickly and make decisions based upon anticipated outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with residents and avoid dual relationships within the community.
  • Possesses the ability to adjust to constantly changing workloads.

Licensure and Certification Requirement

CDCAs, LCDCs, LSW, LPCC, LICDC
