Southcentral Foundation administrative support positions range from entry level to highly skilled and offer a variety of support services in different areas of the organizations. The Administrative Support Training Program is a paid training program where you will learn how to become a successful administrative support at SCF and earn the opportunity to transition to a full time benefited position.

An administrative support position at SCF is the start of a professional career for many Alaska Native and American Indian employees. You will learn valuable skills, develop new abilities and gain a solid foundation upon which to build your future career. A future career for a highly functioning administrative support employee could be as a: supervisor, program coordinator, human resources assistant, pharmacy technician, case management support, accounting technician and many others. It is the foundation of SCF’s career ladder structure, where your career could continue along a management, improvement or technical subject matter expert path. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications for Administrative Support II:

  • One (1) year of prior experience performing administrative support duties; OR demonstrated proficiency as an Administrative Support I at SCF.

Additional Qualifications for Administrative Support III:

  • Two (2) years of prior experience performing administrative support duties; OR demonstrated proficiency as an Administrative Support II at SCF.
  • If required, obtain certification as a Notary Public within six (6) months.

Native Preference:

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.

Employee Health Requirements:

Compliance with our Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19.
