Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $29.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services.


This position will be responsible for supporting the Budget Office with various administrative tasks including tracking and monitoring of supply and equipment inventory both remotely and at the Six Forks campus. This position will assist with the onboarding of new staff and the departure activities of staff as needed. This position will assist with the gathering of data as needed from various areas of the Division as required throughout the year and documenting bi-weekly Budget Office meetings and various other administrative, data managing activities as needed utilizing MS Excel and Word. This position will be expected to go into the Six Forks campus as needed but will also be able to work remotely.

  • Considerable knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and equipment.
  • Considerable knowledge of the program area
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and business administration.
  • Some knowledge of personnel policies and practices.
  • Some knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, assign and review the work of other.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and the public.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in personnel, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
