Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Director of Residential Services.

Our Residential Services oversees over 1,300 residential/housing units in four boroughs of New York City and in Westchester County. Reporting to the St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester Division of Saint Joseph Medical Center, we have been providing compassionate quality residential services to individuals with mental health and addiction challenges since 1986. Our continuum of residential care includes 24/7 congregate community residences and licensed apartment treatment beds (NYS OMH or NYS OASAS licensed), scattered-site supported housing, family care for adults, crisis respite, and mixed supportive/affordable housing buildings. In addition to a full continuum of residential/housing programs, our Residential Services also oversees a care coordination program, an assertive community treatment program, and a personalized recovery oriented services program (PROS) and links to the broad range of behavioral health services offered by Saint Joseph’s and its St. Vincent’s Hospital Division.

Job Summary:

In collaboration with the VP of Residential Services, the Administrative Director oversees the day-to-day operations of a variety of housing programs and administrative support services with a focus on recovery-oriented, person-centered care. Responsibilities include oversight of personnel, program development and activities, budget management, documentation and responses to external and internal audit processes, crisis and after-hours response to urgent client events and funder and community relations. The main office for this position is located on Staten Island in close proximity to the Verrazano Bridge and Staten Island Ferry.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Welfare or related field. NYS licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of five years administrative experience managing three or more staff.
  • Minimum of two years residential/housing experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, problem-solving and clinical leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to formulate and execute quality improvements, to understand data and analytics and to drive effective results.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
