Job description
Under general supervision, provides clerical and data entry support for the Substance Use Coordinator and SU staff based at the Counseling Center. Work involves performing clerical activities as they relate to the provision of quality client services including receiving and entering new client information, appointment scheduling, client reception, data collection and file maintenance. Employee provides assistance to probation and parole officers and court services representatives with the fielding of routine inquiries; compiles statistical information and types reports; composes and distributes letters and other documents; is responsible for answering the telephone and directing calls and clients to appropriate staff. Employee is also responsible for maintaining accurate medical and financial records on clients, assisting with client billing inquires and requests. Employee must exercise independent judgment, confidentiality, and initiative in completing assignments. Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the general public.

High School Diploma supplemented with courses in administrative assistant and clerical skills, and 1 to 2 years experience in clerical, or administrative assistant related work preferably in a clinical setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results within 30 days of hire, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority.
