Job Summary:
Performs clerical and administrative support for park manager and other park staff including organization and upkeep of filing systems including electronic and hard copy files, databases and other systems as required. Prepares applicable new hire paperwork and change of status forms for seasonal/variable staff, including assisting applicants and newly hired staff with online application process and online new hire onboarding process and follow up. Assists guests by answering questions and providing information regarding campgrounds, facilities, policies, rules and regulations ensuring excellent customer service is provided to all visitors.

Essential Duties:
Prepares applicable new hire paperwork and change of status forms for seasonal/variable staff as directed by park management, in keeping with finance and human resources department procedures and personnel policies. Assists seasonal applicants and newly hired seasonal staff in person and by phone with the online application and online new hire onboarding process and follow up. Creates and maintains personnel files, medical files and other applicable personnel paperwork files for seasonal employees.

May assist with or prepare and edit park newsletter.

Accurately utilizes reservations system and complies with income processing and record keeping systems.

Accepts reservations for park vacation cabins, camper cabins, camping and picnic shelters.

Assists in training of seasonal staff including gate and registration staff, including the reservation system; acts as back up for gate and registration areas as necessary.

Assists in purchasing for park office; ensuring adequate inventory of office supplies are available. Maintains adequate inventory of brochures and forms for use in park office and surrounding facilities.

May assist activities staff as directed by Park Manager or Assistant Park Manager.

Provides excellent customer service by providing information to visitors, responding to inquiries from the public, handling and facilitating complaint resolution.

Responds to inquiries for park management staff from campers, other district staff and the general public. Distributes incoming mail at park; collects and reports data and statistics for various reports, including weekly park reports.

Assists with processing camping permits and storage agreements.

Prepares daily park deposits and reports.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Secretarial and general office experience is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with the public is essential. The ability to multi task is required. Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and use of internet and databases. Good math skills. Ability to quickly shift priorities in supporting multiple managers and handling customers. Must have ability to maintain confidential information due to new hire information and personnel files.

Other Requirements:
This position may require some weekend and holiday work. Overtime work is required as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
