Job description

The ideal candidate will have these qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least two years’ Administrative Assistant experience with experience in billing & fiscal management
  • Knowledge of office practice and procedures; Word & Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs

Some responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure coverage of phones and admission into The Center
  • Direct calls to the voicemail system when Center staff are not available
  • Create staff shift schedules with oversight and approval from management
  • Assist in planning aspects of meetings/trainings & coordinate room availability
  • Track memberships, applications and fees
  • Assist with Social media and marketing needs of program
  • Reconcile financials as needed
  • Maintain the weekly calendar of programs, classes and events at The Center
  • Process new member paperwork and payments as needed
  • Assist new members in signing up for classes, programs or events as needed
  • Contact messenger services for pick-up and delivery of packages
  • Maintain the reception area, which includes the outer waiting area (i.e. internet café)
