Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant establishes and maintains the professionalism of The Road Home office, will be the face of the organization to our community, and will help maintain smooth day-to-day operations for the organization. Duties include greeting and directing visitors, answering phones, sorting incoming mail, coordinating donations, stocking office supplies, updating shared calendars, photocopying, faxing/filing and general support for staff at The Road Home.

Reception (50%)

  • Answer phones and direct calls to staff, make referrals or take messages
  • Greet and direct visitors and program participants
  • Accept and stock donated items
  • Monitor The Road Home email inbox daily
  • Maintain accurate information for shared calendars
  • Work with Operations Director to keep office supplies organized and stocked
  • Update/maintain lobby literature for clients and desk area info re: resources
  • Maintain clean, professional space of desk and reception area

Staff Support (50%)

  • This will happen concurrently with front desk coverage (reception)
  • Communicate with Case managers about donations, what is available and what is needed
  • Assist case managers with maintaining proper files
  • Set up meeting spaces as needed for staff meetings, events, etc.
  • Assist with meetings, including scheduling, taking minutes and follow-up as needed
  • Data entry support
  • Assist Operations Director with following building codes and safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Director
