The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Pediatrics is a 227 bed skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ. At the Phoenix Center, we care for both the Geriatric and Pediatric populations. We are looking for a devoted and caring Administrative Assistant to work hand in hand with our Administrator.

Responsibilities as an Administrative Assistant:
  • Provide general administrative support to the Administrator
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and prepare agendas
  • Record meeting minutes
  • Conduct routine rounds of the facility to observe and correctly address any deficiencies within the facility. This may include but is not limited to purchasing equipment, following up on orders, and any required service calls
  • Attend daily morning (multi-disciplinary) morning report. Attend committee and board meetings when required.
  • Compose and type routine correspondence
  • Create and maintain electronic spreadsheets and databases
  • Perform clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned

Requirements for an Administrative Assistant:
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential details
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Programs
  • Promotes a positive image and professional appearance
  • Possesses a can-do approach coupled with the ability to work autonomously and thoroughly on a wide range of confidential and time-sensitive assignments
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously and follows through on issues in a timely manner
  • A High School diploma (or equivalent) and two (2) years experience as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary
