Magee Plastics Company, a premier manufacturer of thermoplastics and composites for the airline, rail, and other industries, is currently hiring for an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting special projects, correspondence, reports, data compilations, and document control for multiple departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide polite and professional communication.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the office by doing tasks such as filing, typing, data entry, copying, binding, and scanning for multiple departments.
  • Maintain office supplies, including printer ink and toner, by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Work as part of a project support team; handle multiple projects and assigned tasks.
  • Perform data validation using reporting generated from various systems.
  • Schedule travel arrangements for conventions and events (airline, car rental, hotel, lunch, dinner) and subsequent expense reporting.
  • Maintain a calendar of meetings and appointments and organize various team activities and special events.
  • Write, revise, and control technical and informational documents including forms, manual, process specifications, and FAA reports in accordance with company Quality Management Systems (QMS) and FAA guidelines.
  • Maintain document control system in accordance with the company QMS, customer requirements, and FAA requirements. Duties include processing document change requests for all procedural documents, review of submitted documents for proper format, accuracy, and content, assessment of the impact of documents on other documentation, posting changes to computerized and manual control records, releasing documents, and maintenance/implementation of Magee Manual No. 1009 Document Record Control.
  • Design and implement safety and informational signage.
  • Provide backup support for answering telephones and assisting visitors.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 2-3 years of clerical, secretarial, or office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of office equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.64 - $21.50 per hour
