Children’s Institute for Learning Differences (CHILD) is 501(c)(3) non-profit agency located in Renton, Washington.

Our mission is to provide innovative school programs, therapies, and training that promote social, emotional, and academic development for children with significant learning and behavioral challenges. At CHILD, the focus is on developing a set of durable core strengths: increased levels of self-regulation, an increased ability to maintain relationships, and increased coping skills to help children achieve ongoing resilience. CHILD employs a project-based curative curriculum with integrated arts, music, videography and outdoor education.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for first impressions and the face of our company. You will be the first point of contact for our parents, students, staff, and visitors. Cheerful and positive personality is a must. Candidate needs to be proactive, positive, motivated, and highly organized. The successful candidate will practice a high degree of confidentiality and communicate clearly, have strong phone skills, computer proficiency, focus, ability to find solutions, be creative and adjust to a fluid and changing work environment while maintaining a patient disposition. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a positive, upbeat, and energetic personality!!

Experience in an administrative, reception, or customer service environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and business professionalism.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and think independently.

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Welcome and greet visitors, determine nature of the business, and announce to appropriate personnel

Maintain neat appearance of reception area, conference rooms, and other communal areas

Answer in-coming calls ensuring all guest questions/concerns are answered

Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel

Responsible for open and closing procedures

Provides administrative support to Human Resources, Program and Executive Team

Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties related to recruiting, interviewing, vetting candidates and finalizing selections for hire

Conduct designated parts of initial orientation to newly hired employees

Coordinates setup of conference/meetings rooms

Assists with catering and planning for meetings and events

Inventory kitchen supplies and food

Inventory office supplies

Update internal phone list, staff and student roster

Receive, sort, and route mail

Maintain and report student attendance

Maintain and inventory supplies for office postage machine

Attend meetings as needed

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

2 years Administrative, Customer Service, and/or Human Resources

pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
