The Administrative Assistant shall be responsible for providing administrative support, employee training and assistance, and supporting the general operations of the family reunification services for children at the Fort Bliss, TX on-site childrens’ residential facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site specific orientations for new hires;
  • Assist site project management team with general operational duties, in accordance with contract requirements;
  • Maintains records, files and logs; typing all general correspondence as required.
  • Responds to routine telephone requests for information and refers calls and visitors to appropriate staff.
  • Accepts incoming mail and distribution, and routes same to proper desk or office.

Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of office administrative or related fields, desirable.
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License.
  • Bilingual in both Spanish and English.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and the ability to use commercial software programs including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in assigned function and attention to details.
  • Ability to answer multiple telephone lines.
  • Type or perform data entry activities at 45 wpm with minimal mistakes.
  • Maintain neat and orderly files.
  • Ability to read, write and receive written and/or verbal instructions in English and Spanish.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with government, military and civilian customers.
  • Ability to use computer manuals to perform system administration functions.
  • Ability to use these forms and databases to provide monthly reports to the Government.
  • Ability to greet visitors and ascertain the nature of their business and direct them accordingly.
  • Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions.
