The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (Commission), a leading utility regulatory agency, is looking for a self-motivated Administrative Assistant (AA) for the Office of Consumer Services (OCS). OCS seeks an Administrative Assistant who can assist the department Director and other department employees with administrative tasks. The Administrative assistant will perform assigned duties related to the departmental functions of consumer complaint, education, and outreach. The AA must have first-rate communication and administrative skills and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

This position will assist with the following:

-consumer service and outreach functions within the department.

-Prepare quarterly AMB, key performance indicators (KPI), and other essential reporting functions.

-receiving the department’s mail and delivering it to the appropriate department personnel.

-conducting essential consumer complaint intake; returning calls from consumers made to the department.

-processing Comp Time and Imprest Fund reimbursement requests made by Outreach team members.

--participate in community outreach and engagement events and support the Outreach team.

- Occasionally attend outreach events as representative of PSC. Such events may occur after working hours during the week and on weekends.

-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· 5-10 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably with experience in customer service and community outreach;

· Internet access to work remotely

· Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to listen well and positively represent the Commission and its mission

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Exceptional organizational, planning, task management, and problem-solving skills with fastidious attention to detail

· Ability to meet tight deadlines

· Ability to use technology to collaborate with colleagues and manage work

· Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team

· Ambitious and takes the initiative; committed to getting the job done

This is a hybrid working schedule with three (3) virtual days and two(2) days on-site; however occasional weekends and after-hour outreach events may occur.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
