We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill an immediate need for an administrative assistant role in our Foster Care Program. Auberle’s Foster Care Program provides a home setting for children and youth that cannot be with their family. A range of foster care services are offered in order to meet the needs of children and youth as well as their foster and their birth families.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess and communicate a passion for Auberle’s Mission of helping children and families

  • Excellence in multi-tasking with a passion for excellence and a work ethic
  • Strong computer and technical skills including Microsoft products and experience learning proprietary software
  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to ensure full compliance with agency and governmental regulations

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) and 1+ years administrative experience (combinations of formal education and experience will be considered).
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook, Power Point, and the Windows environment
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve, and follow through with assigned tasks required
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, vehicle, registration and insurance
  • ACT 33/34 and FBI Clearances
  • Random drug testing may be conducted to maintain a safe and drug-free workplace.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with youth and families in a supportive, compassionate manner to ensure processes happen in a timely fashion
  • Thoroughly communicate with all team members to understand their needs and support the foster care work
  • Compile and maintain client records including data entry work in the KIDS system among others
  • Meet and exceed all reporting requirements per agency and county expectations.
  • Provide development, recruitment, training and marketing support for foster care programs.
  • Track and prepare billing and finance data as necessary including budgets, supplies, clinical hours and billing.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff, and other stakeholders throughout the provision of services.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed in an office environment and in the community.
  • Frequent contact with staff and non-staff (e.g., client families, referents, staff from other community agencies.)
