Aon is looking for an Admin Assistant! As part of an industry-leading team, you will help deliver results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. This role will support our Bloomington Office. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Bloomington, MN office.

The Admin Assistant provides administrative support to a team of colleagues within a workgroup, practice area, or client team. Support ranges from clerical and logistical matters to document production and the effective use of office applications.

The AA responds promptly, thoughtfully, and effectively to changing work environments, changing priorities, and new situations. Additionally, the AA possesses the skills and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with internal resources, clients (where applicable), and other parties in a global and virtual working environment. The Admin Assistant Advanced is integral to the efficient workflow within the office environment.

What the day will look like

While no two days will look the same, a typical day can / will include:
Book travel arrangements for US colleagues
File organizing
Organize and schedule appointment and meetings
Maintain various operations management lists and reports
Provide general office support
Assist in planning of company meetings and events
Submit and reconcile expense reports
Maintain a flexible approach and attitude towards assisting others
Support disaster recovery plans
Assist in the onboarding of new team hires
Support of executive level leaders, administrative activities that include:
Email management
Time recording
Full calendar management
Research, or other special projects
Coordinating complex meeting logistics on or off site; may include, but not limited to, budgeting, travel, room reservations, meeting room logistics and materials, and catering
Actively participating in leadership meetings for follow ups and note taking when applicable
Travel Expenses
Assist with on-boarding of new hires in the Business Unit; submit IT service tickets and follow up on equipment delivery.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Advanced level computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as applicable.
Professionalism and displays excellent customer service skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Superior writing skills — grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Works independently with a variety of individuals and teams.
Demonstrates strong organizational and management skills.
Models professional appearance and demeanor in a business casual environment.
Demonstrates discretion on highly confidential matters.
Suggests approaches for resolving problems.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively interact with clients and team members, always maintaining professionalism.
Ability to work in a high paced, demanding environment.
Self-directed prioritization of work and projects; demonstrates measurable progress through open communication to leaders and team members consistently and with highest quality.
Education : Bachelor’s degree a plus or 5 equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
