We are seeking recovery coaches to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting clinical teams’ treatment plans as well as providing motivation and accountability to individuals in early recovery from Substance Use Disorder.

Recovery Coaches will walk clients through:

  • Exploring values
  • Exploring and working on motivation, patience, and hope
  • Expressing, motivating, and practicing ways of challenging old behaviors
  • Helping the people we work with to set goals and support them on their journey to achieving them
  • Supporting and following guidance from the work of the treatment team, therapist, or clinicians.
  • Working on soft introductions to recovery fellowships, or motivating clients through therapeutic work

You will meet with clients at scheduled times every week and encourage healthy activities such as exercise, mindfulness practices, and healthy coping skills. Coaches will provide clear-cut directions for the client in order to offer the greatest opportunity for success and to build confidence in their new way of life. Coaches are responsible for thorough reporting on daily interactions.

Our recovery coaches work one-on-one with clients ranging from 5-30 hours per week. Our coaching principles are based on peer support mechanics, best practices in recovery coaching, and allow for individuals to utilize their experiences in recovery to serve the individuals we work with. Responsibilities:

  • Advise individuals with substance use disorders
  • Develop and oversee personal recovery plans
  • Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
  • Prepare progress reports for relevant parties
  • Connect individuals with resources in their community
  • Meet with individuals on a regular basis throughout the week
  • Schedule activities and engage individuals with positive support

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in counseling, social work, treatment, or other related fields
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
