Job description

Our long-term care facility is seeking a dedicated and outgoing Activities Aide to help schedule and run entertainment programs for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for helping manage the recreation schedule, filling each day with a variety of activities that are easily accessible by our residents. These activities may be indoors, such as bingo or music appreciation, or they may be outdoors on our campus. You will bring residents to the activity room and encourage them to join in on the day's activities. Your goal will be to enhance our residents’ daily routine with fun and interesting programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily activities for our residents
• Set up and clean up the activity room when necessary
• Transport the patients from their rooms to the activity location
• Engage the residents to encourage them to participate
• Coordinate scheduling with other staff to avoid conflicts

Requirements and Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• TB test clearance
• Prior experience with elderly patients a plus

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
