Jones Petroleum is in the process of interviewing candidates for an Accounts Receivable position in Accounting Department for our Jackson, Georgia office. This is a forty (40) hour a week position with benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable activities for fuel related vendors; creating and maintaining accounts receivable accounts within Ascend software;
• Daily accounts receivable collections via electronic fund transfers (EFT);
• Check deposits of fuel and rent invoices;
• EFTs, daily deposits, creation of monthly rent invoices, year-end 1099-k filings, billing annual property / personal taxes, and billing annual building insurance accounts;
• Maintains historical records by filing and scanning documents;
• Answers questions and resolves issues presented by internal & external customers;
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential;
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; and,
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing identified tasks as needed.

Personal qualifications and attributes necessary for successful performance in this role include:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associates Accounting degree preferred or must have at least five (5) years previous experience in an accounting role;
• Prefer to have previous experience in Petroleum Industry
• Prefer to have previous experience with Ascend software.
• Must have excellent Excel skills, and proficient in all MSOffice programs (Word, Outlook, etc).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, team player, attention to detail, customer service focused, problem solver and ability to analyze information from various sources.
