Summary: Ensures all AP processes and internal controls are followed. Manages day to day processing of Accounts Payable duties. Maintain training an develops Accounts Payable team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs audits of work completed by A/P personnel to evaluate the quality and accuracy of invoice processing and reconciliation
  • Maintains accurate records of accounts payable and general ledger postings
  • Create and perform annual reviews of accounts payable team
  • Assist with determining month end accruals
  • Trains, directs, and coordinates personnel
  • Prepares ad hoc and other reports as directed by management
  • Acts as liaison between vendors and company to resolve outstanding invoices
  • Prepares and distributes annual 1099’s
  • Assists with special projects as needed
  • Handle/maintain invoice software
  • This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of, an associate degree or BS degree in accounting required. Two to four years of supervisory related experience in accounts payable.

Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills Strong math aptitude is essential. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to explain simple interest loan calculations.

Reasoning Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with a PC and have intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word software. Also proficient with a 10-key calculator. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and invoice software (i.e., Docstar) a plus.
