Currently, MPG is seeking to hire an full time, experienced Accounts Payable Specialist onsite at our location at 10900 World Trade Blvd, Morrisville NC 27617.

What You Will Do

Work is performed under minimal daily supervision. Communication between fellow associates within the department, as well as managers and employees throughout the organization and it's various subsidiaries worldwide is critical to success.

• 
  Prepare invoices for payment including matching invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
• Obtaining authorization for invoice payment
• Review all transaction documents to guarantee accuracy, available funds, and adherence to standards and agreements
• Correct any errors or discrepancies found within the transaction documents
• Record transactions to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
• Ensure all required expenses for the business are paid including monitoring discount opportunities
• Maintain vendor information including federal id numbers and remit to addresses
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Precisely reconcile vendor monthly statements to aging report
• Maintain historical records by filing documents
• Calculate and report sales tax and machine tax to appropriate vendors
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Assist with other office duties as needed

What You Will Bring

• 
  Experience in general ledger account numbers
• Experience in job cost accounting
• Experience processing a large number of PO's on a daily basis
• Knowledge of 3-way matching of invoices, PO's, and packing slips
• Experience in an enterprise environment
• Experience in the manufacturing industry
• Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office
• Knowledge of financial/accounting terms and transactions relevant to business
• Organized and able to multitask
• Attention to detail
• Ability to sit and type for extended periods of time
