Purpose:

Telluride Regional Medical Center (TRMC) is seeking to hire a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist. Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for TRMC. Duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Education and Formal Training:

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
• 3+ Years of Accounts Payable experience: Multiple Entities, Advanced Excel skills, Proficient with high volume of transactions

Work Environment/Physical Activities:

General office/medical clinic environment. Requires mobility throughout the facility. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through contact with associates, patients, and the public at large. Requires physical stamina to sit for long periods of time. Occasional lifting < 15 lbs.
