Your Role:

You'll be responsible for keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc. You'll be responsible for processing invoices in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. Attention to detail and analytical skills are a must. We're looking for self starters and team players with potential to grow with us. Our ideal candidate is someone who is process-oriented and thrives in fast paced settings. You will report directly to the founder of the company.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurate through 3 way matching
  • Communicate with the Warehouse and Merchandising teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate problem and invoice discrepancy resolution with vendors with tact
  • Manage vendor relations and contact list
  • Ensure all invoices are processed on time and payment is received for outstanding credit
  • Responding to all A/P related vendor enquiries
  • Reviewing AP Agings in coordination with bi-weekly check runs
  • Generating reports on: Past Due, Goods Received Not Invoiced, RTVs, Vendor Chargebacks, Credit/Debit Memos, Payment Discounts, Invoice Holds, and Unaccounted transactions
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Develop and implement A/P procedures and policies
  • Recommend process improvements to the management team

About You:

  • 5 years minimum Inventory Accounts Payable experience
  • Experienced with high volumes of invoices & vendors
  • Solid understanding of inventory payables including 3-way match concepts, discrepancies and exception resolution
  • Strong organization skills combined with the ability to prioritize, ensuring deliverables are completed timely and in adherence to established deadlines
  • Detail oriented and accurate, with strong communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Proactive and able to multitask; a self-starter, that is effective working both independently and in a team environment
  • Tech savvy with strong excel skills
  • Experienced with Quickbooks
  • Bring a strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes
  • Ideally, retail or ecommerce experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
