Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Pay Range: $16-$26/hr. based on qualifications and experience.

Position Mission: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accounts payable files and for entering, checking, and uploading accounts payable related data; ensuring completeness and accuracy of all files and records.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable invoices and check requests for appropriate approvals and general ledger for coding before processing in Great Plains.
• Review all statements for any discrepancies of invoices processed and paid of the Accounts Payable accounts.
• Review employee out of pocket expenses/receipts before inputting into the system for payment.
• Coordinate new vendor setup and maintain existing vendor accounts.
• Consistent follow up on invoices that have not been approved from field leaders to ensure timely payments.
• Process and distribute weekly check runs, attaching related admittance, and filing backup in correct locations.
• Complete the weekly download of electronic invoicing, printing invoices, posting to general ledger, and reviewing of posted batches for accuracy.
• Process and generate manual checks when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely filing of all payable backup.
• Code and process assigned credit cards.
• Work on special projects as needed.
• Other dues as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• 3-4 years of accounting experience.
• High School Diploma, Associates Degree, or bachelors degree in accounting preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of Great Plains is a must.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good prioritization and multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Mul-unit restaurant or retail experience preferred; high transaction volume experience required
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
