Job description
Purpose:
Coordinate tasks to ensure that all invoices are paid accurately in a timely manner. Provide support to all accounting areas and other departments as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Validate outgoing payments prior to release
- Route invoices, prepare payment requests, assign general ledger accounts, obtain proper approvals
- Enter and post invoices in accounting system
- Maintain payables files and reports
- Reconcile monthly statements
- Process internal common logistics payables
- Obtain required vendor information
- Provide payment status as requested
- Process daily UPS and Fedex shipments, provide tracking as requested
- Monitor and route incoming email correspondence appropriately
- Respond to vendor inquiries timely and professionally
- Front desk coverage as needed
- Administrative support to other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Relationships:
Daily interaction with Accounting Department, vendors and personnel from other departments
Abilities/Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, good communication skills, ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Physical requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time, light lifting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, listening, and speaking ability
Education/Training Required:
High School Diploma
