This Accounts Payable Specialist position is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of credit card transactions, gathering payment vouchers, data entry into the accounting system, and reconciling the credit card general ledger account. This position interfaces with internal staff and external customers via phone and email. This role will also cross train with the Accounts Payable Specialist position in charge of vendor payables and will act as their back up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze & review monthly credit card transactions, gather payment vouchers,
• Verify accuracy of Accounting Codes & input payment vouchers into the accounting system
• Reconcile credit card general ledger account monthly
• Receive and sort incoming accounts payable/ accounting mail
• Act as the designated back up to the Accounts Payable Specialist who handles the rest of the vendor payables
• Assist with 1099 filings, audits, special projects, faxing, filing, scanning, and copying as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years previous Accounts Payable experience preferred
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and 10 key calculator proficiency required; experience with Adobe a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail with excellent follow through
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks efficiently, and meet competing deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and a willingness to improve process workflows where needed
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required

Our total compensation package includes a comprehensive medical and dental insurance plan for full time employees, 403(b) retirement plan, paid holiday, sick time, and 17 days of paid vacation, pro-rated for positions less than 40 hours a week.
