Basic Job Functions:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing, recording, and researching accounts payable transactions, facilitating payments, assisting with month end, and a variety of other tasks related to the successful operation of the finance department.
Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
This is a full-time position located at our offices in Mason County, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to one year of accounting, bookkeeping, or A/P experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Two or more years of experience in accounts payable or data entry
