Accounts Payable Specialist
Tropical Roofing Products is a leading national manufacturer of roofing materials that are used in the repair, maintenance, and restoration of roofing systems. We are headquartered in Hallandale, FL and we have locations across the United States.
Our business is growing and we are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Maintain and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Review invoices received for approvals and obtain approvals when necessary
- Process vendor invoices in a 3-way match manner
- Enter invoices into the Accounting System
- Prepare and process payments for multi subsidiaries (i.e.: checks, ACH, wire)
- Process and enter 200-300 invoices per week
- Reconcile vendor statements and analyze for any discrepancies
- Process credit card invoices
- Respond to Vendor inquiries timely
- Participates as an active team member in business process improvement projects, cost reduction projects and other tasks as necessary
- Special projects as assigned
- Assist with 1099 preparation
Position Requirements
- 4+ years Accounts Payable experience
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
- Detail oriented, professional, and reliable
- Able to meet deadlines
- Strong work ethics
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Online preferred
Education and Computer Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or Finance preferred
- Advanced computer skills, intermediate to advance excel usage

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
