Landscapes Unlimited is seeking an individual to work in Accounts Payable at the Corporate Office in Lincoln, NE. The Accounts Payable Associate will process invoices and prepares payments for vendors for one or more divisions of the Company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receives invoices from vendors and matches with appropriate approval documentation, including purchase orders, receiving tickets, lien releases, and written confirmation from designated Company managers.
- Researches and locates missing documentation and approvals.
- Enters invoices, purchase orders and commitments into the accounts payable system.
- Advises personnel when invoice amounts exceed purchase order or commitment.
- Maintains invoices, receipts, purchase orders, statements and vendor files.
- Reconciles invoice discrepancies with the vendor and/or Company personnel.
- Answers vendor inquiries and miscellaneous accounts payable questions.
- Prepares analysis of accounts or reconciles to vendor statements, as required. May include requests to vendors for payment of credit balances.
- Processes checks based on payment due dates or as needed.
- Prepares and files annual 1099 reports and other tax related reports as necessary.
- Completes other duties as assigned by managers or officers of the Company.
- Must maintain the confidentiality of Company and employee information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong customer orientation.
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Outlook and accounts payable systems.
- Knowledge of Timberline accounting software preferred.
- Proficiency with 10-key calculator.
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIANCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Post high school education in accounting or business helpful.
- May substitute six months to one-year experience and/or training for education or have the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary - Starting at $15 per hour DOE. Benefits can include free golf at certain course locations, PTO and 401K.
Position - This position is open as FT (Monday-Friday) or potential for PT (up to 30 hrs per week)
