Job Summary

Extract Account Receivable/Accounts Payable information to develop trend analyses and evaluate effectiveness of Collection Management processes. Research, prepare and provide reports to the Project Management and Senior Management Teams, reflecting status. Responsible for investigations, analyses, and follow-up actions required to ensure the timely receipt of payments and the process of payments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment with approval from Senior Management.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions in excel tracking database.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • High degree of accuracy
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of accounting software i.e. Tableau, NetSuite etc.

Educational/Training Requirement:
Associates degree in related field

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
