Essential Functions
This position has duties for the University within the Milo Bail Student Center Food Services and Building Operations departments. This position is responsible for providing general office duties for both departments. In addition, this position will provide customer service for catering services through customer walk-ins, phone calls and emails. These duties will include daily entry of the catering orders into the reservation system and monitoring and responding to catering email inquiries. This position will also provide assistance to the Reservations Manager in all areas of this position’s responsibility. The Accounting Technician has additional areas of responsibility which include completing the Human Resources onboarding paperwork, processing biweekly time sheets, and downloading payroll files for both operations. This position will also have cash handling responsibilities when performing cashier duties and training student worker cashiers in the Food Court. In addition, this position will be responsible for updating pricing in the registers as needed. Night and weekend hours may be required on some occasions.

Additional Duties
  • Provide administrative support to the Food Services Manager for Catering Services operations. These duties include monitoring and responding to UNO Catering Services emails and recording catering bookings in the reservation system. This will require strong customer service and organizational skills to respond to customer questions, modifications, and other requests related to catering events.
  • Provide support for daily office duties for Food Services and MBSC Building Operations which includes answering phone calls, assisting walk-in customers, sorting mail, catering bookings and customer questions, modifications and other requests related to catering.
  • Provide back-up support for Reservations Manager of the Milo Bail Student Center Building Operations in all areas of that position’s responsibility. Acts as a Building Office representative at weddings, proms, and other events (including nights and weekend events.)
  • Provide support for Food Services Food Court cashiers as needed on a daily basis. This responsibility includes cashiering in the Food Court, training new student workers on registers, and providing pricing updates to the register menus.
  • Coordinate and process Human Resources on boarding paperwork including, I-9 and E-verify for student, part-time, and full-time employees of Food Services and Building Operations.
  • Record and process biweekly time sheets and download payroll files from Infotronics Attendance Enterprise into SAP system for Food Services and MBSC Building Operations. This can be up to 90 employees. Act as a backup for the Administrative Technician I in the MBSC Business Office who performs these same duties for Bookstore, Child Care, MavCard Services, and MBSC Business Office.
  • This position will contact the University’s 3rd party vending providers for maintenance issues on machines throughout campus and will keep logs of the maintenance issues on each machine. Other duties as assigned for Food Services and MBSC Building Operations departments as needed.

Required Qualifications
High school education or equivalent
3 years general office experience.
Proficient in the use Microsoft Excel is required. 10 key calculator experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in accounting or related field.
Prior experience utilizing reservation software. Prior experience in a University setting.

Salary
$35,300-$40,100 depending on experience
