Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. is a leading established Home Health Care Agency.

We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Manager in White Plains.

The Accounting Manager will manage general accounting duties as assigned by the Accounting leadership, including maintenance of financial datasheets, input and review of journal entries, reconciliations, assistance with internal and external audits, and other accounting duties.

Key functions include:

• Lead and oversee the monthly corporate close and consolidation process for multiple entities
• Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility
• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations, review journal entries and conduct financial statement analytics
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in the monthly close process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, development of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures
• Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis
• Conduct detailed P&L reviews / analysis
• Collaborate with and support external auditors for annual audit
• Strengthen the company’s internal control environment and control processes.
• Partner with Corporate and Operations staff to facilitate variance explanations.

Qualifications:

• Ten (10) or more years in General Accounting
• CPA designation required
• Prior experience leading and managing the accounting close process
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting policy
• Corporate tax experience a plus
• Ownership of accounting operational processes and experience with automation of operational processes
• Advanced Excel skills required with knowledge of SAGE 100 accounting systems a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required, excellent use of Excel preferred
• Ability to establish priorities, work to strict deadlines, and to deal with shifting and conflicting deadlines and priorities
• Strong analysis, problem solving and excellent communications skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with general ledger functions and monthly accounting close processes
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
