Summary:
The Accounting and Human Resources Technician ensures the Fiscal department operates smoothly by performing a variety of functions, such as participating in the preparation of journal entries, invoices, payroll, and financial reports under the supervision of senior fiscal staff. The Accounting and Human Resources (AHR) is also responsible for performing general administrative support tasks related to fiscal and human resources operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates daily tasks with the financial management team to optimize departmental workflow.
  • Compiles financial data and assists Accountant(s) with the preparation of reports, invoices, and payroll as-directed.
  • Provides timely and courteous responses to all internal and external fiscal-related inquiries or requests.
  • Assists with employee recruitment processes by tracking candidates, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, and benefits administration as needed.
  • Maintains inventory logs.
  • Maintains and archives documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and other fiscal and human resources records as directed.
  • Assist with other finance and human resources-related functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of databases and relevant software programs, such as MS Excel and accounting suites.

Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates, internally and externally, regarding financial and human resources-related matters.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position frequently travels for financial-related matters such as delivering invoices, picking up physical mail, and bank transactions.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance are required to use a personal vehicle to conduct business.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
