Job Summary:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic (every 4 weeks) financial statements: Balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Analyze and compare performance of restaurants to identify issues and opportunities.
- Reconcile checking accounts and credit card statements.
- Maintain general ledger; make journal entries, code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close books each period.
- Enter inventories into QuickBooks.
- Verify deposits, invoice payments ensuring the appropriate accounts are charged, and address inquiries from banks.
- Pay sales tax
- Perform other related duties as assigned: Ex: Occasionally make deposits, Support HR team with payroll activities, etc.
- Learn Point of Sale and Payroll systems to handle data imports
Qualifications/Skills/Education:
BS Accounting Preferred – AS Accounting with experience considered- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly Proficient with QuickBooks
- Highly Proficient at Microsoft Excel
- Highly motivated and organized.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as well as visit other off-site locations, etc.
