About us
Penn Service Inc. is a full service heavy wrecker towing & repair facility looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team.
We are looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant who has a strong background in office work. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, capable of multitasking efficiently and interested in assisting accounting staff with a wide range of routine tasks. The Accounting Assistant should have experience working with files, financial statements, invoices and all other accounting-related paperwork. This is a full-time position and this individual will be working directly with our controller.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers by phone and in person
- Dispatch Towing & Road Service calls
- Take payments from customers
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Data entry
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Prepare bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into Quickbooks
- Create and update expense reports
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Requirements:
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with Quickbooks
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- BSc/Ba in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
