Job description

We are looking for an accounting analyst who will provide accounts payable support for all intellectual property group attorneys and their secretaries. This position is responsible for managing and reconciling multiple deposit accounts, posting charges, and helping process payments to foreign vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and process transactions for deposit accounts
• Access internal docketing system to verify account charges
• Monitor deposit account balance and request checks for replenishing account
• Maintain lists of authorized users for deposit account
• Review and process vendor invoices
• Monitor payment approvals for attorneys
• Coordinate with foreign invoice assistant and accounting department to ensure payment of foreign associate fees within the procedures established at the firm
• Maintain foreign associate approved vendor list
• Review and respond to overdue statements of account from foreign associates
• Provide backup on maintenance fee payments

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of prior accounting related data entry experience
• IP experience with US & Foreign IP matters helpful but not required
• Proficiency with Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to research and resolve problems as necessary and work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Outstanding client service skills
• Proactive, self-starter
